Services for Parents

ADVOCACY – Understanding your rights and how to navigate through the special education process.

FUNCTIONAL ACADEMIC ASSESSMENTS – Understand your child’s performance compared to curriculum and grade level norms. This information is most useful to parents that want to understand their child’s strengths and weaknesses and how to help them at home.

STANDARDIZED ASSESSMENTS – Understand your child’s performance compared to national norms. This evaluation can be accepted by schools as part of a Child Study Team referral or independent evaluation.

TUTORING – Individual or small-group instruction for enrichment or remediation.

CONSULTATION – Alleviate the stress and anxiety of school placement through exploring placement options and the application process. Also available for college applications.

Services for Schools

CHILD STUDY TEAM – Certified LDT-C performs educational evaluations in accordance with New Jersey Special Education Administrative Code.

CASE MANAGEMENT – Oversee students who are classified in accordance with New Jersey Special Education Administrative Code.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT – Helping schools develop cross-content curriculum to meet New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT – Workshops available on a variety of topics such as differentiated instruction, inclusion, developing Intervention and Referral Committees prior to special education referral, understanding IEPs and test results, the home and school connection, poor handwriting vs. poor written expression skills, and much more.
